Power Racking is as the name implies a racking system that is ‘live’.
This racking system is mounted to tracks embedded into the floor which allows the rack to be ‘opened or closed’ in a compacting style, hence only ever using one aisle.
This system is more frequently used in a cool room, freezer application to maximize the storage capacity in that environment.
The capital cost is high, but gains are made due to the high utilization of the area.
